A Calm Week

How did I forget to send this post? But it has some good tips, so I figured I might as well share it with you.

Here at Country Chic Homes this past week was calm & not hectic. No major creating took place, it was a week to reflect & enjoy & well the sun really didn't come out to get some good photos. I truly believe winter is the perfect time to just sit & relax. I am sure glad that I take tons of pictures of spaces, as there are weeks that I use pictures from past creations.

If I can give you a tip today, take many photos & edit each one. They come in handy on your social media for days or weeks that you were either busy or your creative juices weren't flowing. I am surprised everytime I post a photo of a different angle & it's as if people haven't seen that space before.

I put in some orders for the shop which are to arrive in the next few weeks. I am adding a new section to the shop, I can't wait to share it with you soon! I want to recieve the items before chatting about. I want to make sure I am opening this section with the right pieces.

New items have arrived to the shop, it truly is so much fun adding new items but scary at the same. I always wonder if every item be well received. I was able to get some photos of the 2 vintage grain sacks that are now posted in the shop. They're a true vintage with stains & holes. I never try to "fix" vintage they truly are an "as is" I believe that each piece holds a story. Another item that was added, vintage inspired scissors that are available in 3 sizes. I love the large holes in the handles, makes them east to grip. Being left handed, I found these very easy to use as they're a straight design with no curve to them. They're sharp & work perfectly for different uses. Valentines item's arrived too, I will be doing a blog post for those items & other items that are in stock.

Coming this week:

  • a tablescape

  • kitchen pictures

  • family photos as we venture to the snow

As we're still in the middle of winter, my soul is still in "relax" mode. Sometimes it scares me that it is, but I have to remind myself that it's okay to just enjoy & I'm relaxing & oh so planning... it's all coming together.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead & enjoy every bit of it!!
