Bottle Brush Trees
Update two years later & I am still bringing out our trees & enjoying them. I have attached pictures to show you how we have used them for the past few years. I don't regret it one bit using new trees.
Hey, guys!!!
Okay, I got a simple DIY for you, or shall I say, we!!! I had wanted to vintage up our bottle brush trees & I knew what I wanted to add to them. So let me get to the deets with you!!!
I wanted the base of our trees to be on an architectural piece of wood instead of their base. I had on hand a chippy column & this is where it turns into a "we" project. The boyfriend cut down the column to what I wanted, a total of 7 pieces!! I made my marks on the column & away he went. Each piece was what I wanted & had imagined. The next step was to remove the base attached to each tree. Honestly, at that point, I was like, what did I do!! These trees were brand spanking new!! Next, he drilled a hole into each piece of wood to have the trees stand correctly. Instead of using a drill bit, he made each hole with a screw, just as if he was going to screw in the screw & removed it. It was the perfect size for each tree. & since the tree is spiral, I was able to screw them in perfectly. That's it!!!!
* I used new trees, but you can use any of the ones you have at home. I choose a chippy rustic wood, but any wood will work. You can even paint it to go with your style.
If you do this DIY!!! I would love to see it, so tag me on the gram!!
