Winter Has Made A Comeback
Well, all I can say is that I am sure happy that I styled my little spring heart last weekend. Winter has made a comeback & it came back with a vengeance. In the past 48hrs snow, ice, rain, hail, crazy winds & freezing temperatures.
But here at CCH, at least inside, it is still Spring. Every room has flower arrangements & a few bunnies hopping around. Yesterday I took down some arrangements & created new ones & have them placed throughout. I still need to style them in tablescapes & on other surfaces. I plan to share them with you in the next few weeks. I have found the most beautiful artificial flowers, including the ones in the shop. Speaking of the shop, I still have several flowers available. Many of the flowers that I share & that are in the shop can be easily incorporated into Fall. I have been linking everything over on my LTK. I post on LTK first, then it trickles into Instagram, CCH, & then onto Pinterest. Having my flowers organized on the wall has made it much easier to create daily. They're accessible & it's not a chore to get to them. I'll link the blog post below on the easiest DIY.
I shared over on Instagram two tablescapes & my English garden. I loved creating each one. The tablescapes that I shared have now long been put away. But my English garden is still there. It has been there for a few years now, but the added roses inside my French container gave it life once again. The mantel is an FBMP find & the fountain is from a local salvage shop. I used to have both inside my previous home. But by just adding the roses, it made that entire space a bit more beautiful.

In Wednesday's newsletter, I shared tips on searching for my most incredible finds on FBMP (Facebook Market Place). Hopefully, you were able to read it. Remember, only subscribers to the blog receive the newsletters. With those wonderful tips, I brought home a farmhouse table for FREE! Unfortunately, I have not been able to share any pictures of it as we covered it up the minute we got it home. It has been well-loved for many years. The legs need to be tightened & the top needs to be sanded a bit to remove some of the grey paint. She is a little over 7' with black legs; those will remain black. She will be my outdoor table where I can create many memories of tablescapes & enjoy many outdoor meals. I can't wait to get out there and get some before & after pictures.
Have you started styling for Spring? Do you incorporate Spring & Easter together? Let me know in the comments below.
My tips on styling for a new season
Stay within your usual decor. Doing so will give you a look of a seamless look. It'll create a balance that you & everyone who enters your home will love.
Add a few lighter textures for Spring.
Bring in new scents that are appropriate for the season.
Style at your own pace. Don't feel pressured by what "everyone" is doing. I start early to bring you ideas & items before they sell out. I still need to remove our heavy throw blankets. Haha, we would be freezing right now if I did.
& always look through your decor stash & shop there first.
I hope you have a fantastic Friday & enjoy the weekend. Stay safe & enjoy your home.
